Happy 6 Months to our Chunky Monkey!!
Ryan was officially 6 months old 10 days ago but who's counting, right? I can't believe how fast the time has flown with Ryan. He's half a year old?! I swear I was just pregnant. Time really goes by faster with the second baby.
Our little Ryan or I should say our chunk Ryan, is such a joy!! He is truly the happiest baby on this earth. I don't mean to brag and blah blah but he seriously is the easiest, best baby there is. We have been so incredibly blessed and lucky to have a baby with such a happy demeanor and that is so easy going. We can take him anywhere and do anything. He only really cries when he's hungry or tired and even then, it's not much. Ryan is always full of smiles. He loves Eric and Eric loves him. They already have such a sweet little bond and I love seeing them interact together even though Ryan doesn't do much; it's just in the way Ryan looks up to Eric already. Eric already brags about teaching his little brother everything from rolling over to holding a toy. They are just too cute together. Oh and Ryan is going to be a tough kid because he just takes whatever Eric dishes out. Eric is a little wild and crazy with him and Ryan doesn't seem to mind one bit. :)
Here are a few of Ryan's stats....
Height: 28 1/4" 94th % He's tall. We have a tall, chunky monkey
Weight: 19 lbs. 80th %...compared to Eric this is HUGE. Eric was always so skinny. Ryan is solid. You should see his thighs...to. die. for. I now understand why people say, they could just "eat up" their babies.
Teeth: 2 bottom teeth but his top front gums are swollen and the drool factory is in full swing, so I'm sure we will be seeing 2 more teeth come in real soon.
Words: 2 "Ma-Ma" and "Ba-Ba" He doesn't say them often but he does say them. Jene heard him say them for the first time one morning when he went to get Ryan out of bed. He came running into our room to wake me up and tell me all about it and then of course, Ryan didn't say either again for several hours. :)
Mobility: Ryan is in the "roly poly" stage. He rolls everywhere. He sits up for a few seconds unattended but that's about it. He hasn't attempted to crawl yet, although, when he's on his tummy you can practically see his brain working, thinking about how he can move to get to what he wants. Poor kid is so heavy though, he probably can't lift himself!! haha...that's one good perk to chunkier babies...less mobility. :)
Sadly, I haven't had his 6 month pictures done yet so, my snap shots from my camera will have to suffice for now.
