70 Degrees with a Chance of Shia Labeouf

The weather this week has been so great! It's been in the low 70s and beautiful. We've been doing a lot of running around outside. My friend's kids are out on Winter Break so we thought we'd take advantage and head out to the park. The kids had a great time running around and so did Jenn and I. Then we headed over to McDonald's for some ice cream, which tasted SO good after running around for 2 hours. Here are a few shots from yesterday morning.

This was at McDonald's..the only pic I took. I thought it was hilarious that Jenn was half in the Men's bathroom to help her little man because he refused to go into the women's restroom.

Also, my quest to get a picture with Shia Labeouf was a success!! I didn't even have to "stalk" him. In fact, after I wrote my last post, I was tempted to delete it because I thought I sounded totally pathetic and obsessed. I kinda gave up the whole pic thing but then my friend Emily found out that he likes to go to a restaurant in PTC so we thought we'd go and have dinner there last night.

Now, what are the odds that he would eat at this restaurant the one night we go out and who knows what time he's be there too? I mean, how do you even plan for that? Anyway, we went to a late dinner and 5 minutes after we sat down, guess who comes walking in?? Shia!!! He sat at the table directly behind us. He was with a small group and one of them was the lead actress for the new movie they are filming but I didn't recognize her until we were leaving the restaurant and she's not very famous so I guess I don't care. Anyway, my friend Emily and I were way too nervous and shy to ask for a picture on our way out the door but our friend Brittany wasn't. Thank heavens for her! So, she asks him for a pic and he kinda hesitates but then he got up really quick and said, "ok, here we go, here we go" grabbed my camera and took the fastest pic of all of us ever and he totally cut part of himself out of the pic. I don't know why he didn't let someone at his table or a waiter take the pic but oh well. He was nice enough to take a pic with us but kinda acted annoyed which is understandable.

I thought one of the funnest things about being such close vicinity to him was hearing his voice. That voice is unmistakable and I LOVE it! From the moment I saw him I was seriously shaking and my heart was racing and I felt flushed all over. Totally not normal!! I was what they call totally star struck!!

What a fun night and a legit picture with Shia Labeouf!! I still feel a bit giddy about it all! =)

Shia Watch

The very cute and talented (in my humble opinion) Shia Labeouf is in town shooting a new movie! So, I'm totally on "Shia Watch"! I've always been a fan of his since, "Even Stevens" and I've seen every movie except Wall Street, so this is cool!

I didn't think I'd be as star struck as I am. I'm totally thinking like I'm a 12 year old girl trying to "run into" my crush. If you keep up with facebook, you know that I've already seen him because he is living in the apartment above one of my friends but just seeing him doesn't seem to be enough. I want a picture!! So, I'm on a quest to get a picture with Shia.

I know, some of you are probably like, "get a life Megan! There are other things to be doing with your time"! To you nay-sayers, I say, "you are right!" There are other things I could be doing but as long as I get my chores done first I can go and play right?! And just because I'm married and have a kid doesn't mean I can't have a little fun! So, don't judge me just let me have fun! I'll keep you posted...

Sick of Sickness

I've wanted to update my blog for some time now but

A. not much went on the month of January because of the reason below....

B. We've had too much sickness in our house!!

We started out the month of January all horribly sick with mine and Jene's cold turning into a nasty sinus infection. So that pretty much killed the first 2 weeks of January. Then we seemed to finally get back into reality and have lives again and then SMACK! Eric is hit with a double ear infection, nasty croupy cough and 104 fevers. All that I just mentioned happened while Jene was on a business trip in Palm Springs. So, it was just me and the sick bug from Thursday until yesterday evening. I'm so exhausted and just sick of having sickness in our house!!! Poor Eric is still not feeling well and was coughing so much last night he threw up 3 or 4 times...fun stuff, right?! At least Jene was home last night to help with all the throw up. That was a serious blessing because I had absolutely had it by that point.

But ya know, as bad as it's been and it was last night, I had a thought come to me while Jene and I were laughing about how he caught Eric's puke in his hands (yes, that is disgusting but kinda funny the way it happened), the thought was, "you wouldn't have it any other way" and I felt a warmth and a serious joy came over me. I agree, I wouldn't want to clean up puke with anyone else and I wouldn't change being a Mom for anything in the world as nasty and exhausting as it can be. I'm very blessed! That's what life is about, being happy with what you have and making the best of everything. Life is good. Really good.
